Expanding Our Horizons with Local Craft Beers
At Snewroce Sports Bar, we've always prided ourselves on offering a great selection of drinks to accompany your sporting experience. We're thrilled to announce that we've expanded our beer menu to include an exciting range of craft beers from local Irish breweries.
Our bar manager, Ciara, has spent the past few months touring microbreweries across Ireland to handpick the finest craft beers for our customers. The result is a carefully curated selection that showcases the best of Irish brewing talent.
Featured Local Breweries
We're proud to support these outstanding Irish craft breweries:
Galway Bay Brewery
Based in Galway, this brewery has been at the forefront of the Irish craft beer revolution. We're serving their flagship "Full Sail" IPA and their seasonal "Buried at Sea" chocolate milk stout.
Wicklow Wolf Brewing Co.
From the Garden County comes these wild and wonderful beers. Try their "Elevation" pale ale or the innovative "Locavore" series made with locally grown hops.
Kinnegar Brewing
Hailing from Donegal, Kinnegar produces farmhouse-style beers with a contemporary twist. Their "Scraggy Bay" IPA and "Rustbucket" rye ale are now available at our bar.
Whiplash Beer
This Dublin-based brewery specializes in modern, hop-forward beers. We're featuring their "Rollover" session IPA and "Northern Lights" pale ale.
Monthly Featured Brewery
Each month, we'll spotlight a different Irish craft brewery with special offers and tasting events. For December, we're showcasing White Hag Brewing from Sligo, with four of their beers on tap and a special tasting event on December 14th at 7pm. Our team has been busy sampling (tough job, but someone has to do it!) and these are their current favorites:
- Sean (Manager): Galway Bay "Of Foam & Fury" Double IPA - "Bold, tropical, and dangerously drinkable for its 8.5%!"
- Ciara (Bar Manager): Kinnegar "Rustbucket" Rye Ale - "The spicy rye notes work perfectly with our spicy chicken wings."
- Liam (Head Chef): Wicklow Wolf "Black Perro" Imperial Stout - "Rich chocolate and coffee notes make this a perfect after-dinner beer."
Food Pairings
Our chef has created some perfect food pairings to complement our new craft beer selection:
- IPAs: Pair with our spicy buffalo wings or blue cheese burger
- Stouts: Perfect with our chocolate brownie dessert or Irish stew
- Pale Ales: Try with our fish and chips or chicken quesadillas
- Sour Beers: Great with our goat cheese salad or smoked salmon appetizer
