A Fresh Approach to Pub Dining

At Snewroce Sports Bar, we've always believed that great sport deserves great food. That's why we're excited to announce the launch of our new winter seasonal menu, crafted by our head chef Liam O'Donnell.

Liam has spent the past 15 years working in some of Dublin's finest restaurants before joining us at Snewroce. His passion for Irish ingredients and sustainable cooking practices has transformed our kitchen, and this new menu is the culmination of his vision for elevating pub food to new heights.

Farm to Table Philosophy

Our new menu focuses on locally sourced, seasonal ingredients from farms and producers across Ireland. We've established partnerships with:

  • Ballymaloe Farm (County Cork) for organic vegetables
  • Burren Smokehouse (County Clare) for smoked salmon and trout
  • Kettyle Irish Foods (County Fermanagh) for dry-aged beef
  • Cashel Farmhouse Cheesemakers (County Tipperary) for artisan cheeses
  • Goatsbridge Trout Farm (County Kilkenny) for fresh trout

By sourcing locally, we're not only supporting Irish farmers and producers but also ensuring that our dishes feature the freshest, most flavorful ingredients possible.

Menu Highlights

Here's a taste of what you can expect from our new winter menu:

Starters

  • Burren Smoked Salmon Plate - With pickled cucumber, dill crème fraîche, and homemade brown bread
  • Dublin Bay Prawn Cocktail - With Marie Rose sauce and crisp lettuce
  • Connemara Wild Mushroom Soup - With truffle oil and crusty sourdough bread

Main Courses

  • 28-Day Dry-Aged Ribeye Steak - With triple-cooked chips, roasted vine tomatoes, and peppercorn sauce
  • Wicklow Lamb Stew - Slow-cooked with root vegetables, pearl barley, and soda bread
  • Kilkenny Trout - Pan-fried with almond butter, crushed potatoes, and seasonal greens
  • West Cork Beef and Guinness Pie - With buttery mash and seasonal vegetables

Vegetarian & Vegan Options

  • Wild Mushroom and Cashel Blue Risotto - With crispy sage and toasted walnuts
  • Roasted Winter Vegetable Wellington - With red cabbage purée and herb oil (vegan)

Match Day Specials

On busy match days, we'll continue to offer our popular match day specials that are perfect for sharing while watching the game:

  • Snewroce Sharing Platter - Buffalo wings, mini sliders, loaded potato skins, and garlic bread
  • Pulled Pork Nachos - With Gubbeen cheese, jalapeños, guacamole, and sour cream

Match & Meal Deals

To celebrate our new menu, we're introducing special Match & Meal deals:

  • Pre-Match Special: Book a table 2 hours before kick-off and get a main course and a pint for €20
  • Half-Time Snack: Pre-order half-time snacks when you book your table
  • Sunday Game Day: Special Sunday roast available during all Sunday matches

Chef's Table Experience

For special occasions or corporate events, we now offer a Chef's Table experience. Enjoy a bespoke tasting menu created by Liam while watching all the sporting action. Available for groups of 6-10 people, this experience must be booked at least 7 days in advance.

Dessert of the Month

Each month, Chef Liam will create a special seasonal dessert. December's offering is a Warm Christmas Pudding with Jameson whiskey custard – not to be missed!
